Places to Sample Providence's Amusements

  Known more for its charming New England beaches and small town atmosphere, amusements in America’s smallest state are few and far between. However, Rhode Island has something to offer all. And rest assured, there is plenty to entertain the young and the young at heart.  Not far up the highway in Foxborough MA, Espionage at 5 Witts, Patriot Place, will bring the adventure out of everyone.  Edaville Railroad on Cape Cod and Six Flags New England are both thrilling and entertaining for the whole family.  If short on time, or wish to stay local, Rhode Island still has plenty to offer nearby.  Adventureland in Narragansett offers family fun in the form of go-karts, batting cages and bumper boats.  One of the oldest zoos in the country, Roger Williams Park Zoo is located in Providence, RI amid a beautiful, 40-acre park setting. Named as a Best of Rhode Island 2011 attraction by Yankee magazine, The Butterfly Zoo cultivates a tapestry of colorful flying creatures.
